Beach Bound

We're going to the beach! We're going to Pensacola Beach to visit Aunt Laura and Uncle Carlo and Aunt Emily and Uncle Jon are coming down from Chicago to join us. We're also going over to New Orleans to visit Ed's mom, Mommy Ann, and her husband Bob. Hope everyone gets caught up on this blog because knowing me I'll have an overwhelming bunch of photos to share when we get back! (You WON'T be seeing any of me 8 months pregnant in a bathing suit though!) See you in a couple of weeks!

My Slightly Neglected 1st Blond Son

Well to be completely honest, ever since Ed came into Jack's life, I've played second fiddle to Ed...so it goes both ways. I may take a gaggle of pictures of Henry, but I don't forget how photogenic my first little boy is either.

Besides getting doted on by Ed, or neighbor Chad always gives Jack his steak bones, which is like gold to him.

Besides all the barking, the chasing of big trucks, the sprinting like a wild hyena toward any other dog when he isn't on a leash, and the extremely selective hearing...I still love you, you crazy dog...green eyes, smiley face, curly tail and all.

A Very Good Day

So by this point in the day Henry and I had already been to Keeneland, had a hat signed by world famous jockeys (pictures in a following blog)...then we came home to find that Dad had put together Henry's very cool wagon, a few minutes later Aunt Kake arrived for a weekend visit.

Test drive of the awesome new wagon.

A little swinging....

As long as there are Spring flowers and Henry is still cooperative, I WILL be taking the annual "Henry in the Flowers" pictures...

Aunt Kake putting a flower behind H's ear...moments later that same flower was thrust to the ground...

Speaking of the annual pictures...can you believe this was only a year ago?

Eating a flower 2006 (??)

Eating a flower 2007 (????)

Back to the present and our very good day...on our way to the playground...

The "kids" playing on the slide.

After all of this we walked to a UK Baseball game later...does it get much better for a Spring day in April?

Our Pal Pablo

On 2 different days after we were at Keeneland we went by Aunt Whit's farm to visit her horse Pablo...

Until now Henry was only patted the nose of a horse at the Horse Park, which was a very big development...

On this day, not only did he get close to Pablo.

And pat his nose...

He actually...

got...

on...

Pablo!!

Or "Po" as he likes to call him.

On another trip Henry learned how to brush and feed Pablo...

And the proper way to carry his gear...

Picking and bringing flowers to Mommy and Aunt Whitney...

This horse stuff is hard work!
