Quarter Horse Racing

For 2 nights in July every year, the Red Mile Track features Quarter Horse Racing. Have you ever seen Quarter Horses race? Wow. Serious wow. Want to see a picture?

*blink*

and the race is over!

Ok, maybe not that fast, but you get the point. Know why they are called Quarter Horses? They only race a quarter of a mile. Heeeeeeey! Pretty neat, huh?

As afore mentioned, notice the boys' attire. JULY 17th. Usually we say 2 things about the Quarter Horse races when looking back on them...1. Boy, weren't they fast? and 2. Holy Moly it was sweltering that night! Not this year!

I think Auntie Kate took most of these pictures. Think she likes her nephews much?

I think we've got another horse fan!

I think you are right about Fisher, he looks like he has been bitten by the horse bug. Quarter horses are also more athletic and that is why they are used for trick riding, and they do much better on rocky trails. Gated guarter horses are so beautiful and fun to ride.

Henry and Fisher are the cuttiest horsemen ever.
