Family Fall Fotos

Ommy and Poppy were up for a visit and it was such a beautiful fall day we decided to take a little road trip before they went home. We drove to the Salato Wildlife Center in Frankfort, which has been featured in this blog before, it is a great place to interact with some rescued native Kentucky animals {bears, Bald Eagles, deer, turkeys, etc)...it is a really terrific place to go...every day except the day we went, Sunday...because it is closed. Luckily it is on beautiful grounds and it was just fun to play in the leaves.

Not a lot to say...think the pictures speak for themselves...

Some of the animals we would have seen, from a different view, if we could have gone in.

Rare family photo...do you know how hard it is to find a photo where all 4 people are looking at the camera...with pleasant looks on our faces? This is as good as it got. {it was the best of Ed and I...you get to see plenty of good ones of the boys.}

Look at these two...

...such a good looking couple...

...on December 20th, they will be married 40 YEARS...

...and they still like each other...A LOT!

Isn't that right Fisher?

Morning Hat

These pictures aren't the best and are from awhile ago...but it illustrates a very important ritual in Fisher's day...the morning hat. He wakes up, goes to Ed's closet and chooses a hat to get his day started.

Laundry Jockeys

Neck and neck coming down the stretch...obviously.

Red River Gorge(ous)

A little trip to the Red River Gorge before Fall is over.

I give you...The Gibson Boys!

Spotting fish?

My boys.

We managed to find a not so rustic playground in the rustic wilderness.

Miguel's Pizza. You should check it out.

Yes, that is a narrow hand carved tunnel through that mountain, and yes, they actually let cars go through there, and yes, Ed expected me to go through there with the rest of the family. With some anti-claustrophobic deep breathing exercises, I did. Twice.

Somebody was awfully interested in what Daddy was doing.

His name isn't Fisher for nothing.

I never get tired of this. Someday Ed is going to fly-fish full time and I'm going to take pictures of him fly-fishing full time. :)

Someone just woke up...

and sees his Daddy...

I think I'll be taking pictures of this guy in the middle of a stream pretty soon too.

Looks like this is about it for Fall.

It was a good one.

Blue!...White!...Blue!...White!

We took Henry to his first basketball game. Although not technically one 2 accounts. It wasn't really a game, it was the Blue/White practice...and 2. he's been to a game before...he was just still in my belly.

Hello Coach Callapari, welcome to Kentucky...we can't tell you how glad we are that you are here!

The 2 Johns. The one dunking is The John Wall...if you don't know his name by now...you will. And the one circled is John Hood...from Madisonville!

Hey, look who it is...Uncle Cav and Aunt Whit!

Quit taking pictures and watch the game!

Look at this place. Beautiful. And look at our fans...this is a practice! We've waited a long time for this season, and I think it's going to be a lot of fun.

Go Big Blue!
