Welcome to the World Fisher

We have a new addition to our happy family!

On the way to the hospital.

Fisher Maxwell Gibson
June 17, 2008 9:09 AM
7 lbs., 4 oz.
19 inches

Announcing his presence.

Hello Mom and Dad!

One of my favorite moments. He was crying his eyes out, but when I talked to him and rubbed his forehead he quieted right down. Henry did the same thing. It really made me feel like his Mom.

"Talking" with Dad.

Proud proud Ommy watching Fisher getting cleaned up in the nursery.

Proud proud Poppy meeting Grandson #2 in our room.

Henry meeting little brother. He has been so sweet and loving toward Fisher so far. He just wants to "pat pat" him, and keeps saying "awwwwww" and putting his head up next to the baby's.

Uncle Cavan and Aunt Whitney. Thank goodness Fisher will have Henry to help defend against and explain some of the wily ways of Uncle Cavan!

Proud proud Daddy.

Brotherly love.

Proud proud Mommy Ann.

My Boys.

The beginning of a great day. By Thursday I guess the nurses decided that Fisher and I were doing ok and didn't spend the day poking and prodding both of us and for the most part let us spend a leisurely day together. The weather outside (from what I hear) was gorgeous and the sunshine was streaming in our window. We spent most of the day napping and getting to know each other.

Hurricane Henry

Since the time Henry's hair started growing in we called his "do" Hurricane Henry. Wonder why...

Uncle Kenny and Handy Henry

Uncle Kenny came to renovate our basement! Hooray! He is very skilled and professional, but I'm sure he couldn't have done what he did without the help of Handy Henry....all those Handy Manny episodes have really paid off!

Before

Getting started.

About half way there.

When Uncle Kenny came to Lexington...so did the "Tickle Bug"

All finished! The Gibson boys all pitched in to give us a great basement makeover. Now comes my part (the fun part)...decorating! I'll make sure to do another post in the future to really show the before and after including our new gorgeous stairs and the new bathroom (anyone need a grass green Formica vanity?)

Thanks Uncle Kenny!!

Troutfest

Ed's friend Rob had a surprise birthday party in Maryville, TN and we went down for the weekend. While the guys were off fishing Henry and I went to the Townsend, TN Troutfest. It was a fun event with good food (including fried Trout...is that wrong?), a casting contest, lots of educational booths and most importantly...Henry's first bouncy-jumping-thing...He loved it!

There was also painting on a trout...

And face painting...

Beach 2008

...or The Trip of Bocce Ball, Big Waves, Blowing Kites, and Full Bellies.

On the way out to our little set up.

Lots of Bocce Ball was played...

A drippy nose didn't get in our way of a good time.

Lots of digging in the sand and looking for shells.

"Helping" Uncle Jon.

Aunt Emily watching the boys in the surf.

Many kites were flown...

Serious time with Uncle Jon...

Cheeto time with Uncle Kenny...

When we weren't at the beach, Henry was swimming in the pool...even though he said it was "too cold"!

We took a break from the beach and all the great food and hospitality at Aunt Laura and Uncle Carlo's house and headed over to Louisiana for some great food and hospitality at Mommy Ann and Bobs.

Henry's first plate of beignettes (blueberry!)

We had a crab boil!!

More bocce ball!

More delicious food (Mommy Ann's famous Sourdough waffles).

Back to the beach...
We saw a lot of wildlife, from the birds...

And stingrays...

and dolphins...

Good bye beach. We had a great time...

We'll be back soon!
